What Should Be Our Goal?
I can talk over and over about the
tips on starting the habit of exercising or how to get motivated or how to lose
weight fast and so on, but the point is, if you seat down and read
this, you won’t lose any weight and you are not gonna become fit! So, just
decide like this:
I want to be just a bit better than yesterday!
Decide right now, add just a bit to your daily routine and even if you don’t
exercise at all, just do something for 5 minutes today, everyday just add
something to the day before and just make sure to:
Break your comfort zone each day, just a bit!
Don’t make it complicated, just do
something you like, it can be free dancing, walking, swimming or anything you
like, just make sure to break your comfort zone! The number 1 reason people
fail in building sustainable well-being habits is because they aim too high in
the beginning and they can’t sustain it.
Be consistent, no matter what. If
you do something consistently, it will become a habit and that’s when the power
of habit will help you forever and that’s when things will become much easier
(And that’s when you will raise your standards again).
Right down
your plans for this week or month or even today and as soon as you do
something, check it off from the list. This will help your brain feel better
whenever you want to do that thing. The fact is that your brain releases
serotonin when you reward yourself, that reward can be as little as a check
mark on your to-do list, and serotonin will help you feel happy and motivated to do that thing again in order to get rewarded.
